LED lighting is very much brighter than its predecessors, but before we replace fluorescent tube with LED it’s vitally important to ensure that the area in question has a lighting design created for it.
A lighting design is essentially a plan which sets out how many new lights should be installed, where they are to installed and how much light will be in the area once all the new lights are connected. Our LED lights cover a range of locations from warehouse LED lights, to LED office lighting and for domestic use.
Quite understandably, you only want to invest in this once, so it’s important to get it right from the start. If the area is not designed the resulting LED coverage could be too dim or too bright and that can lead to many health and safety issues.
Oftentimes many inexperienced people will replace the lights on a like-for-like basis, not considering important details such as, the height of the roof space, the lumen output of the light fitting, or the spread of light emanating from the source. Here at Kwik Electrical, our highly trained professionals will carry out the design process to take out any guess work that is so commonly found in these situations.
Kwik Electrical believes that all clients should see a lighting design before they invest in manufacture. This is so the differing levels of brightness depending on different lighting designs can be understood and a time for a decision changes can be given. A client originally wanting to install LED high bay lighting might opt for commercial ceiling lights after being shown a lighting design. So, in other words, the lighting design viewing is a very essential part of the process here at Kwik Electrical.
Kwik Electrical uses RELUX lighting design software tool to ensure the right light levels are achieved for the area in question, this is because different areas require different levels of brightness. An Operating Theatre will need to be much brighter than a Warehouse, so by using RELUX which is an industry recognised lighting design software system we can not only ensure the correct light levels are achieved, but also confirm that the light levels conform to the guidelines set down by CIBSE, Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers.
