Light Installation at Rushden Academy

‘The initial stages involved submitting tender documents and then carrying out a site survey to clarify which areas of the site needed additional works, and then eventually put in place an approximate timeline’.

Were there any challenges that you came across whilst working on the school?
 

‘When we were about to start installing the lighting, we found that the mineral insulated copper wiring had deteriorated at the connection point, and this meant there was much further work that had to be done.

Despite this obstacle, we managed to safely install the LED panels and we are going to carry out the further work over a term break.’

What deliverables were you able to present the school with at the end of the project?

‘We gave the school brighter lights and a better environment for students and staff to work in and also helped them increase on their energy savings.
