EDW Technology is a company in Milton Keynes that was looking to reduce their carbon footprint. They knew that one of the easiest ways to do this was to upgrade their existing lighting system.
Kwik Electrical conducted an energy audit of EDW Technology's facility and found that they could save 50% on their energy usage by upgrading to LED panel fittings. They also recommended installing micro-wave PIR sensors in rooms that were infrequently used, which would further reduce energy consumption.
EDW Technology applied for a grant from the Low Carbon Workspaces Scheme, which helped to offset the cost of the new lighting system. Kwik Electrical then carried out the installation, which was completed just after the first lockdown.
Deborah Sibley, Premises Manager at EDW Technology, was very pleased with the results of the project. She said, "The new lighting system is much more energy-efficient, which is good for the environment and our bottom line. We're also very happy with the way Kwik Electrical handled the installation during the pandemic. They were very professional and efficient, and we're confident that we made the right decision to work with them." Deborah was delighted in how quick the LED installation was carried out, and has even written a testimonial for us.
