How KwikElectrical Helped EDM Precision Technologies Improve Their Lighting

EDM Precision Technologies is a high-precision manufacturing company that works with the F1 industry. Their existing lighting system was inadequate for their needs, so they contacted Kwik Electrical for help.

Kwik Electrical visited EDM Precision Technologies and conducted a lighting survey. We found that the existing system was fluorescent-based and mounted at about 4 meters high. This made it difficult to access the lights for maintenance, and the system was not bright enough for the company's needs.

Designing a Bespoke Ceiling Lighting System

Kwik Electrical designed a new lighting system using LED High Bay fittings. These fittings are brighter than fluorescent lights, and they require less maintenance. They also produce less heat, which is important in a manufacturing environment.

The new lighting system has saved EDM Precision Technologies 40% on their energy usage, 1.9 tonnes of CO2, and 54% on their running costs. The company was also able to secure a grant from the Low Carbon Workspaces Scheme, which helped to offset the cost of the new lighting system.
